Monday, October 26Community Day
Community Day
Free and open to the geomatics community. Registration is encouraged so we can plan attendance; walk-ins are accommodated where capacity allows.
- Canadian Geomatics & Geospatial Advisory Forum — 1:00–4:00 PM. Canada's open national discussion on the priorities facing the geomatics and geospatial community (see Special Programming below).
- Monday Evening Networking Social — 6:00 PM, The Unicorn Superpub. Free admission; cash bar.
Tuesday, October 27
Conference & Trade Show
Keynotes, technical programs, trade show, special programming and networking.
- Doors open 8:30 AM; the day begins with the opening welcome and conference keynotes on the Main Stage.
- Keynote speakers Eve Psalti (Senior Executive, Microsoft Artificial Intelligence) and Craig Martin (President, Hexagon Geosystems — US, ANZ & Canada), who closes the day.
- Two full-day technical programs — GIS, Geospatial Data & AI and Surveying, AEC & Subsurface — each with its own Main Stage keynote and panel plus technical talks.
- Trade show floor open all day, with catered conference lunch for Full Conference pass holders.
- Calgary White Hat Ceremony, followed by the Tuesday evening networking reception on the trade show floor.
Wednesday, October 28
Conference & Trade Show
Technical programs, trade show, special programming and closing activities.
- Two full-day technical programs — Aerial Remote Sensing (RPAS and Manned) and Reality Capture & Digital Twins — each with its own Main Stage keynote and panel plus technical talks.
- Geo Fast Pitches — Pitch the Press on the Main Stage (see Special Programming below).
- Trade show floor open all day, with catered conference lunch for Full Conference pass holders.
- The conference concludes at 4:00 PM as the final technical presentations wrap up.

Four Technical Programs
Four full technical programs anchor the two conference days — each led by chairs drawn from the community, each with its own Main Stage keynote, Main Stage panel, and technical talks in its own theatre.

Canadian Geomatics & Geospatial Advisory Forum · Monday, 1:00–4:00 PM
A vendor-neutral, national open forum where Canada's geomatics community can discuss shared challenges, priorities and opportunities. The Forum is a moderated, no-stage discussion designed for open participation — every seat is equal. Key ideas and perspectives from the Forum will be captured in a public summary following the event.
Featured 2026 Discussion: Skills, Hiring & the Geomatics Workforce
Moderated by Carina Butterworth
Where are the real skills gaps in Canada's geomatics sector? Employers continue to report difficulty finding people with the skills they need, while graduates in some areas find work quickly and others can spend months looking for opportunities. This discussion will bring the community together to examine what employers actually need — including education, technical knowledge and experience — and how those needs compare with the skills entering the workforce across surveying, GIS and geospatial technology.
Geo Fast Pitches — Pitch the Press · Wednesday, Main Stage
The rapid-fire session where companies pitch their newest products and announcements live to the geospatial media and the audience. Have something to launch? Geo Fast Pitches — Pitch the Press proposals are open through the speaker submission form.
Canada Maps & Poster Gallery · Both conference days
A standing exhibition of Canadian cartography and posters, on display alongside the Royal Canadian Geographical Society's giant floor maps. Poster submission deadline: October 12, 2026 — full submission information is on the Canada Maps & Poster Gallery page.
Calgary White Hat Ceremony · Tuesday
A Calgary tradition welcoming visitors to the city, the White Hat Ceremony will be part of Expo 2026's special programming — on the Main Stage after Tuesday's closing keynote, just before the evening reception.
Monday Evening Networking Social · Monday, 6:00 PM · The Unicorn Superpub
Free admission; cash bar. An opportunity to meet attendees, speakers, exhibitors and members of the community before the conference begins Tuesday.
